Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Launchly ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data when you use our website and services at launchly.world.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a cryptographic hash). If you sign up via OAuth (Google, GitHub), we receive the profile data shared by that provider.
Usage data
We log actions you take within the product — pages created, prompts submitted, sections regenerated, and feature interactions. This helps us improve the service and detect abuse.
Content you provide
Text prompts and descriptions you enter to generate websites are processed by our AI pipeline and stored temporarily to produce results. Generated site content is stored in your account until you delete it.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number or CVV. We receive a tokenized payment reference and billing details (name, email, country) from Stripe.
Technical data
We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and timestamps. We use cookies and localStorage to maintain your session and language preference.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Launchly service
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, usage alerts)
- To respond to support requests
- To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity
- To analyze aggregate usage trends and improve product features
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your content to train our AI models without your explicit consent.
3. Data Sharing
We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform:
- Stripe — payment processing
- OpenAI / AI providers — processing your prompts to generate content
- Cloud infrastructure providers — hosting and data storage
- Email providers — sending transactional messages
- Analytics tools — aggregated, anonymised usage analysis
All third-party providers are contractually required to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We use the following:
- Session cookies — to keep you logged in
- localStorage — to save your language preference locally
- Analytics cookies — to understand how users navigate the product
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records, which we keep for 7 years). Log data is retained for up to 90 days.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take commercially reasonable precautions.
7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Deletion — request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to certain types of processing
- Restriction — ask us to restrict processing of your data
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@launchly.world. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
Launchly is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States and the European Economic Area. We ensure that appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place for cross-border transfers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a prominent notice in the product. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of Launchly after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
